Board of Director and Committee Nominations

The Nominating Committee works year round looking to identify emerging leaders in the Parks and Recreation field as well as to provide leadership for ARPA.  This is an opportunity to nominate yourself or staff to make a meaningful impact on the profession, connect with peers across the state, and represent the voices of parks and recreation professionals.  If you are ready to grow your impact, now's the perfect time to get involved!

The ideal nominee possesses the following skills:

  • Willingness to lead
  • Previous ARPA Board and Commitee experiences
  • Minimum of one year of ARPA membership
  • Professional and personal experiences
  • Desire to serve and go the extra mile
  • Ability to assume and delegate authority
  • Organizational skills

Available 2027 ARPA Boards of Directors Positions:

  • President Elect
  • Secretary
  • (4) At-Large
  • Southwest Region Director
  • Southeast Region Director

NOTE:  Board positions are two year terms and elected by the membership.

Available Represenative Positions:

  • Commercial Represenative
  • Citizen Represenative
  • Student Represenative

NOTE:  Represenative positions are one year terms and appointed by the association president.
